ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Sr. Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer at Systems X, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the backbone of our client's IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including the management of our networks and servers, ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services to clients, upholding stringent security measures in alignment with industry standards, ensuring the delivery of top-tier managed infrastructure services, and maintaining rigorous compliance with NIST and other relevant frameworks. You will support strategic initiatives, cultivate relationships with our valued clients, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our IT solutions, ensuring Systems X remains synonymous with excellence in the cybersecurity and IT management arena.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

  • Ensure compliance with NIST frameworks and other relevant compliance standards.

  • Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Provide IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications / Azure / Office 365, as well as virtual environments built on VMware

  • Support services for Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Azure, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, et

  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.


 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Travels to customer sites to perform work when appropriate. 

  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions. 


 

TECHNOLOGIES YOU WILL USE:

  • Remote Management and Service Desk Portals.

  • Proprietary in-house software.

  • Cloud-based Project Management and Collaboration tools. 


 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proven experience in a technical role within managed services or Enterprise IT Services Organization.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or related field.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and other compliance standards.

  • Ability to travel to customer locations (15%-30%).


 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in IT support.

  • Experience in IT Managed Service Provider environments a plus.

  • Check Point experience and multilingual skills are a plus.


 

LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Chesterfield, Michigan.

  • 40-hour work week (Hybrid/Onsite).
